On Wednesday July 19th Kid2Kid hosted our summer edition of "Got Your Back"; which is a youth volunteer event where backpacks are assembled with back to school supplies.
Over 25 volunteers helped pack 100 backpacks. These items where then delivered to the Red Door Family Shelter in Leslieville. At any point, there are between 90-100 kids residing there. We felt a real sense of pride that we were able to provide backpacks for all the youth there. (In our first year we started out with donating 15 backpacks.)
We are so grateful for the generosity of our community. From coming out to our Kid's Marketplace in June (which raised over $10, 000), to volunteering their time, and sponsoring backpacks/winter totes...THANK YOU!
