Volunteers Wanted for Kids' Marketplace 2026

Kid2Kid is currently looking for volunteers to help support our upcoming Kids’ Marketplace at the Beaches Recreation Centre (6 Williamson Road).

Whether you are a student looking to complete OSSD volunteer hours, a parent wanting to give back, or a community member who simply loves supporting youth entrepreneurship and local families, we would love to have you join us.

Our volunteers play a huge role in helping the event run smoothly and creating a welcoming, positive experience for our young vendors and guests.

Volunteer opportunities include:

1. A few weeks before the event – Distribute invitation flyers to homes in the Beaches neighbourhood. The hours for this are flexible based on your availability.

2. The night before the event – Assist with setting up tables and organizing the silent auction at the Beaches Recreation Centre from 6:30PM to 9PM.

3. Event day – Help at the Beaches Recreation Centre from 11AM to 3PM. Tasks include assisting with setup, working at the $1K Social Media Giveaway table, supporting the silent auction, helping manage food vendor line-ups, greeting guests, assisting vendors and families, or helping wherever else is needed.

The Kids’ Marketplace brings together more than 200 youth vendors selling handmade goods, baked treats, crafts, games, and creative products — all while learning entrepreneurship and giving back to children’s charities. Throughout the years, the Kids’ Marketplace has raised over $50,000 for local children’s charities, including Red Door Family Shelter.

We are always inspired by the kindness, energy, and generosity of our volunteers, and we truly could not do this without community support.
